I feel compelled to give a warning before showing this trailer: Proceed only if you're feeling emotionally strong.
Fireflies in the Garden boasts an impressive cast (Julia Roberts, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Ryan Reynolds, Hayden Panettiere) and it looks to be well-made — though I'm not sure I saw it very clearly through my tears. This film looks gut-wrenching.

Recently the
first image from the next X-Men movie,
X-Men Origins: Wolverine hit the web, and now there's
news of cast additions, including a Black Eyed Pea and a star of
Friday Night Lights. will.i.am will make his film debut alongside Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Kitsch in Wolverine, directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi,
Rendition).
X-Men Origins will "reveal the origins of the Wolverine character and introduce other mutants not yet seen in the "X-Men" franchise."

Despite
mediocre reviews (including
my own) audiences were still game for director Doug Liman's sci-fi movie
Jumper which earned the top spot at the box office its first weekend out. Whether it was the combined star power of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen or the craving for an action flick this Presidents Day weekend, audiences put Jumper ahead of the rest by a long shot,
grossing nearly $33.8 million, according to Variety.
The other big surprise over the weekend was the No.

Sometimes I get to thinking that the whole romantic comedy genre could use a good shake-up to get out of the hole that movies like
Fool’s Gold keep digging the genre into. Rom-coms with smart, secure yet interesting female characters would be one way to do this. Stories with a likable male protagonist who’s neither misogynistic nor a total weenie would be another good way.

Putting aside the fact that Ryan Reynolds seems too boyishly young to be Abigail Breslin's father,
Definitely, Maybe looks extremely adorable. Breslin plays Maya, a little girl who wants to learn about her parents' love story. Reynolds, as her nearly divorced father Will, wants to avoid the topic altogether but appeases his daughter by telling her stories of his relationships with three women, and Maya must figure out which one is the story of his romance with her mother.
