According to the AP, Jared Leto gained 60 pounds to portray John Lennon's assassin in the upcoming Chapter 27, which I've been patiently awaiting ever since Sundance 2007. Physical transformations like Leto's are often the sign of a serious, committed actor. However, Leto's off-screen press has left a sour taste in my mouth (he even slipped off Pop's manjoyment radar). Then again, if I close my ears to the gossip and just look at his filmography it's hard to deny that this is a risk-taking, talented actor. Can you take Jared seriously as an actor these days?Source
