Were You Happy About Who Was Auf'd on Project Runway? I'm just gonna put it out there: Spoiler alert. Most of the creations from last night's Project Runway turned out better than I thought. Another pleasant surprise was who was auf'd.

Last night's episode of
Project Runway was surprisingly entertaining (I figured it would be hard to follow
the drag queen episode) — not because of the challenge, per se, but because Tim Gunn shamed the designers right off the bat, reminding them of how pathetically they performed in
the very first challenge that required innovative thinking. And thank goodness Tim lit that fire under their you-know-whats, because otherwise we would have seen a boatload of beige seat belt pencil skirts coming down that runway, which makes me fall asleep just typing about it.
As it happened, we were only subjected to a small percentage of seat belt skirts (and one unfortunate seat belt dress) while a good portion of the designers used this challenge as a moment to stand out.

Project Runway Goes Drag I'll take designing for drag queens over WWE divas any day. The designers got their chance at over-the-top and I'm satisfied that most of them lived up to the challenge. It's always a joy to be in the presence of season four alum Chris March and the queens were delightful — such personalities.

The word that keeps popping into my mind when I think about this week's episode of
Project Runway is "big." There were big, huge drag queens with big personalities, there was the return of that big Chris March laugh, the outfits the designers created were big and over the top, guest judge RuPaul is a very big person. . .
BabySugar Diaries: Christian Siriano Designs Pour Moi? People are always saying that maternity clothes are so much better than they were 10 or 50 years ago. And to their point, they are. However, there are some days when a billowing dress and a heaping sweater don't do much for an expectant lady's self-esteem — even if it is the most glorious time in her life.

Christian Siriano, the spunky little designer from
Project Runway who showed Heidi Klum and her crew just how fiercely talented he was during his Bravo days, is on a mission to clothe burgeoning bellies as he rolls out a maternity line,
Fierce for Moody Mamas by Christian Siriano.
Project Runway Rundown: Episode 5, "Welcome to the Jungle" On this week's
Project Runway, Heidi told the contestants that they would be designing an outfit for a high-powered, glamorous woman. I loved that Blayne immediately thought of Hillary Clinton — and then groaned to the camera that the last thing he wanted to whip up was a neon pants suit.
Do You Have a Sewing Machine? Watching
Project Runway every week gives me the itch to pull out my own sewing machine, no matter how dusty it is. I'm getting inspiration from the show and from the geeky crafts I'm constantly seeing.
