I've been wanting a fringe piece in my closet to reflect my love of the '20s. I figure a fringe mini skirt, like this
Nanette Lepore Carwash Fringe Mini Skirt ($110, originally $220) is good because I can modernize it with cool tees. I know it's on sale, but I don't want to pay over a hundred dollars for it.

If ever there was a year when fringe came back in style with a vengeance, it's 2008. Celebrities ranging from
Paris Hilton to
Elle Macpherson have been cutting face-framing fringe to modify their typical layers. Fringe is versatile since it can be worn
blunt,
side-swept or
curled under.

Congratulations,
misskacie! Now, like Fab and Vanessa Hudgens, you too have Botkier's fringe-tastic bag. Enjoy it.
With all the
holiday shopping madness
consuming me and my friends, we've decided to take a break. We're meeting up at our favorite cafe to drink
yummy hot chocolate and yap the afternoon away. I asked you to help me find an appropriate ensemble.

"We blew up a papaya/just like a girl's brain/and our formula stopped it/from happening again."
That's just one of many hilarious rhymes found in Fox's little holiday gift to us, a "Happy Fringemas" video narrated by
Fringe's own Walter Bishop (who, incidentally, is holding his own right now in my
Best New TV Character of 2008 poll). The video essentially retells the story of Fringe's first season so far — including some of the gory Pattern cases, so, uh, put that breakfast or lunch down before you watch — in the style of
The Night Before Christmas, with plenty of Walter's trademark humor along the way.

I loved
Botkier's Morgan Satchel ($650) as soon as I laid eyes on it. That's why I'm carrying it with my
fabulous Fall outfit you helped me pick. That wispy fringe, soft Italian leather, the shiny gold hardware — I can't resist.

Join me in congratulating
MyOwnLittleWorld on her first
Look of the Day. She might think her outfit is nothing special, but I beg to differ. Notice how she adorns her sweater dress with a
fierce fringe scarf.
The latest designer to jump on the
feathery friends trend is Chris Benz with this
Muticolored Pencil Skirt ($795). I usually fancy fringe but it looks like Chris had too much on his mind with this one. Between the diamond jacquard print and fuzzy texture; I can't help but to feel dizzy.

A few months back I was on a fringe bootie hunt that proved unsuccessful. I thought, how cool if I made a detachable fringe piece to add to my regular booties? Alas, someone else did the hard work for me!
