We've seen Julia Roberts and Clive Owen filming Duplicity
in New York,
in Rome and
in London, and now we've got the trailer for their latest film together. The pair play corporate spies who were once romantically involved in this spy thriller by writer/director Tony Gilroy of Michael Clayton fame. Rather than join the
big name films released in December, it's not due out until 20 March 2009, but the trailer has now been released.
The next project from Tony Gilroy, writer and director of
Michael Clayton, is
Duplicity, a spy thriller with a sexy couple at the heart of it. Clive Owen and Julia Roberts play two corporate spies with a romantic past who "hook up to pull off the ultimate con job on their respective bosses." Paul Giamatti and the awe-inspiring Tom Wilkinson also star.
Well, hello Clive Owen! He was looking sexy in his suit as he ate out in London earlier this week at Nobu with his wife. It's was recently announced that the BBC TV show that brought Clive to our attention –
Second Sight – is to be adapted by
writer Craig Rosenberg for Universal Pictures, no word on whether Clive will reprise his role though.
Clive Owen was back in his suit doing re-shoots for
Duplicity in London this weekend. He didn't want to share that sexy smile, but he's mastered the serious face for his role as a spy. Sadly we'll have to wait until 2009 to see Clive back up on the big screen — in the meantime we've been enjoying his dapper wardrobe on the set almost as much as
seeing him shirtless in Italy.
Clive Owen and Julia Roberts traded
the streets of NYC for those of Rome on Monday to work on their upcoming thriller,
Duplicity. Julia mixed business with pleasure and brought her husband Danny Moder along for the trip, though her twins and
adorable baby Henry were elsewhere. Danny was even on set to
sneak her kisses between takes, while Clive was looking dreamy in his shades as he filmed at a sidewalk cafe.
Julia Roberts flashed that famous smile on the set of
Duplicity in NYC yesterday while her co-star Clive Owen showed off how he makes stern look hot. Clive's got no problem with gaining female fans, but last year it wasn't enough to score him a coveted spot on the
PopSugar 100, which means you've got some work to do if you want to see him make the cut this time around. Julia came in at No.

Clive Owen and Julia Roberts were in NYC yesterday, getting ready to start work on their upcoming thriller
Duplicity. The pair, who also appeared together in Closer, star as a pair of corporate spies trying to pull off the ultimate con job, written and directed by
Michael Clayton's Tony Gilroy. It may be part of getting into character, but this Hermes is a definite step up from some of her
other recent bag choices.
As you may know by now, I will jump at any chance to write about Clive Owen, and thankfully today's news includes some cool details in addition to Clive's gorgeous face.
