It's official! Summit Entertainment has
confirmed that Taylor Lautner will reprise his role in the
Twilight sequel,
New Moon. This news arrives after rumors swirled that he might be replaced.

Poor Robert Pattinson. Not only does he have thousands of
Twilight-obsessed teenagers chasing him, he's now going to smell them coming. That's because Hot Topic is stocking
Twilight perfume ($48), a lavender-and-freesia scent.

I love
Sarah Haskins. She's reminding all of us crazy ladies who are in love with Edward Cullen/Rob Pattinson from
Twilight that the dude is basically the classic bad boy, only, he's got fangs. "What if I'm not the hero," Edward asks Bella, "What if I'm the bad guy?"

Not only do
I Want This Wardrobe, but so do you! This year, we dedicated a good amount of time to recreating the wardrobes of the most fashionable characters on TV and in the movies. In the TV realm, Gossip Girl dominated, while Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia followed.

This is mildly amusing if you haven't seen
Twilight, but hilarious if you have. In this parody, vampire glam-pire Edward Cullen is replaced by a portly Santa in the forest scene when Bella Swan guesses who he really is. From the silly jump cuts to an even sillier jumping Santa, this is spot-on.

Guess what, Hollywood: Women like movies, too. 2008 has been a good year for proving that women can be a powerful force when it comes to box office dollars. The
Sex and the City Movie was a huge deal to fans of the HBO show and many other female moviegoers who appreciated a female-driven movie they could go out to see with girlfriends.

"Fangs for visiting. Be bite back." That's the message printed on the sign asking visitors to come again in Forks, WA, the town that claims a piece of
Twilight fame.
The Day the Earth Stood Still may
not have been a critical hit but it is now officially a box office success,
earning $31 million over the weekend and topping
Four Christmases, which slid into second place.
Twilight,
Bolt, and
Australia followed in third, fourth, and fifth places respectively.
Meanwhile, Variety is reporting that
smaller, independent films "delivered one of the best weekends ever for the specialty box office."
