Gorgeous Gerard Butler escaped our cold British weather to see in the New Year in Miami Beach, but unfortunately he didn't get
shirtless like his pal, TV presenter AJ Calloway. While Gerard's been busy relaxing, rumours have started to circulate about
a possible new role: as the Phantom of the Opera! Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed a sequel to the musical, entitled Phantom: Love Never Dies, and Gerard is amongst those in the running (having played the part in the 2004 film adaptation), as is Hugh Jackman.
As you can see from this helpful poster, men and women are different. So different that when a "romantically challenged" woman (Katherine Heigl) can't seem to find love, a chauvinistic (though incredibly handsome) buffoon (Gerard Butler) is just the person to instruct her on how to attract a man.

The sky was the limit yesterday for Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler as they filmed
The Ugly Truth in a hot air balloon near LA. It doesn't appear as though they actually left the ground, but Katherine's
stunt double was on hand just in case things got hard. We've seen Katherine working on this movie
all by her lonesome, so it's a treat for Gerard to be back on the set — even if he isn't looking
his hottest.
Katherine Heigl took a break from filming on the set of
The Ugly Truth yesterday to smoke and listen to some tunes. She looked cuter and happier later on once she ditched the cigarettes at The Figaro Cafe to have dinner with her mom. We can't wait to see Katherine as Izzie Stevens for
one more episode of
Grey's, especially after all the craziness that unleashed itself
last week.

Grey's to go, she'll get to hang up her scrubs for the Summer and concentrate on being a movie star full-time starting next week. As for
last night's episode — Izzie didn't get all that much screen time, but for once she was the sensible one.

multi-million dollar actress looked like a designer bag lady leaving her house yesterday but she perked up by the time she arrived on the set of
The Ugly Truth. With her husband Josh touring on the east coast, at least she's got work to keep her busy and
her hot co-star Gerard Butler to help put a smile on her face — even when she has to shoot a scene in her underwear. It seems like the two
are getting along great so far, so hopefully their off-screen fun translates into great on-screen chemistry.
