It's almost time for the third series of Skins to begin, and
the majority of you are looking forward to the new episodes featuring an almost all new cast. In our
Best Of 2008 polls, you voted it as your favourite British TV show of 2008, and I hope they manage to keep everything you love about the show with this new crew of kids, led by Tony's younger sister Effy (Kaya Scodelario). The series starts on January 22, and here's the traditional abstract trailer featuring the cast (NSFW) as well as some photos of the gang of kids that will take Tony, Jal, Chris, Cassie, Sid, Anwar, Maxxie and Michelle's places.

This month you've been
voting on all your favourites of 2008, from the best shows to your number one celebrities. I've been announcing the winners this week, and today I'm revealing who takes the crown for
favourite British TV show of 2008. We've been treated to some fab series this year featuring great home-grown talent, from comedies like Gavin & Stacey to dramas like Secret Diary Of A Call Girl and the high-concept Lost In Austen.

I can't help but gravitate toward vintage gadgets (I am the
founding member of the Vintage Geek group, you know), so mash-ups of old and new stuff is something I'm totally into.
This particular skin from
Gelaskin ($15) tugged at my heartstrings, mostly because it reminded me of my first boombox that I carried around with me to sleepovers, my backyard, and even a few times to school (my teachers were not pleased with that last location).
I'm kinda digging this skin for my iPhone, but I'm not sure I could handle it taking up permanent residence there.
I love my laptop (but not in a creepy way), but sometimes I wish I could spruce up the exterior as much as the interior (colorful wallpaper, fun icons, and so on). Rather than spend money I don't have on a fashionable laptop like the
Vivienne Tam Notebook, I've decided to get more creative with the laptop I already have.
For $28, I can get one of these special limited-edition
Artist Series Laptop Skins, which measure 15.4 inches — making it the perfect fit for my MacBook Pro.
The first few teaser trailers of series three of
Skins have started airing on E4 and Channel 4, providing glimpses at the new cast as well as a couple of faces from series two — Effy and Pandora. While the old cast may have moved on to pastures new, it's time to look to the future and check out the new castmembers who will be revealed on December 19. So check out the teasers below and tell me — are you excited about Skins series three?

So I've asked you about your favourite reality series, and I've asked you about your favourite soap, but now it's time to ask you about your favourite British TV Show! We've shortlisted some of the best of this year from our Pop Watch faves Gavin & Stacey, Skins, Lost In Austen and Secret Diary Of A Call Girl as well as Doctor Who and Spooks. For our
Best of 2008 series I'd love to know which one you like the most, so tell me — which is your favourite British TV show?

Mitch Hewer's new project
Britannia High is starting on ITV very shortly, featuring original music written by Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Guy Chambers and others, as well as appearances from Adam Garcia and Matt Willis as well as members of Girls Aloud and Boyzone. The show is set in a stage school and follows six good-looking teen students as they cope with everything that's thrown their way!
While the images suggest
High School Musical, the trailer has a cleaned-up, abstract
Skins meets The Biz feel to it, although perhaps that's just because of Mitch's dancing — either way I'm looking forward to seeing what the show has to offer.

I go in and out of liking laptop skins; sometimes they can look cheap and dumb, and sometimes they're done right and end up looking so adorable that I want to buy a whole series. Making a good case for the latter scenario is this
Tree Laptop Skin ($19).
It would make your laptop so cute and distinctive that no one would mistake your MacBook for theirs while you were up getting your third coffee at Starbucks.
