Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams, and Jude Law were all dressed up for another day on the set of
Sherlock Holmes in Brooklyn yesterday. Robert and Rachel stayed warm and happy between takes while Jude wore a serious face to go with his fake blood. This weekend Robert will be up for a
Golden Globe for his performance in
Tropic Thunder, so hopefully he'll get to take a couple of days off to head to the west coast.
Jude Law has finished up his winter holidays with ex-wife Sadie Frost and their three children in Brazil, and flown to New York to continue filming Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. He, Rachel McAdams and Sherlock himself — Robert Downey Jr — had a few scrapes and grazes applied by the makeup team, to ensure continuity from the scenes they filmed
in London last year. Although I'm still hoping for some shirtless scenes in the new movie, it's nice to have a recent reminder of
the body that Jude's hiding underneath that prim and proper suit — yum!
The cast of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes were full of smiles even though they were covered in blood while filming on location in London yesterday. With reports of
a possible reunion with Ryan Gosling on the cards it's no wonder Rachel McAdams is grinning, and Robert Downey Jr and Guy Ritchie were chuckling too despite the cold, so it looks like Guy isn't too stressed about all those
contradictory reports about his divorce settlement. Although I wasn't too sure about Jude Law's new facial hair
when I first polled you back in October, it's now really grown on me and the majority of you guys agree, as Jude's leading my
favourite moustache-for-a-role of 2008 poll.
Rachel McAdams was in costume on the set of
Sherlock Holmes yesterday in London. Her male costars were around, but there's still only one man we want to see her with – Ryan Gosling. Very few celebrity couples have us rooting for them as much as Rachel and Ryan and a source close to them said that while they're both single, the two
still love each other and for now it's a matter of timing.
Rachel McAdams was all bundled up yesterday as she made her way around London with a friend. It looks like she took advantage of a free afternoon to do some sightseeing and shopping after
starting to work hard on the set of
Sherlock Holmes. Canadian Rachel is a long way from home at the moment, but her fun costars are probably keeping things cheery as the
holidays approach.
We've already seen the boys of
Sherlock Holmes hard at work on the set in London, but yesterday we finally saw Rachel McAdams on the scene. She kept her costume covered up in comfy sweats, but there was no denying her dramatic curly hairdo for the part. It's been a great week for Robert Downey Jr., who
snagged a Golden Globe nomination alongside his costar Tom Cruise, but it doesn't seem to merit a break from work for one of
this year's biggest stars.
Rachel McAdams joined Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law on the Sherlock Holmes set this week, adding a little femininity to Guy Ritchie's set as love interest Irene Adler. Jude's one of the actors in my
fun Best Of 2008 poll about facial hair, check out his competition and vote if you haven't! The movie is still being filmed in London at the moment, with the cast wrapping up warm over their costumes to keep out the bitter cold that's taken over the capital lately.
Guy Ritchie brought Rocco and David to the set of
Sherlock Holmes in Liverpool earlier today. Madonna and Guy's divorce
will be made official tomorrow after a month of ugly accusations from both sides, and it seems like everything is working out for their kids. Apparently the two will share custody of Rocco and David as the boys
split their time between New York and London.
Robert Downey Jr. was dressed to face the British weather as he left his Manchester hotel earlier today. He made his way over to the set of
Sherlock Holmes, joining Guy Ritchie and Jude Law to film a scene that involved him jumping out of a window.
Having enjoyed
a night off together last week, Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were back to work today, filming scenes for Sherlock Holmes in Manchester. Guy looked surprisingly happy and relaxed, given that new rumours about his relationship with Madonna are surfacing so frequently; perhaps he's relieved to be free of the
"behaviour contract" he reportedly signed with Madonna in an attempt to save their relationship. Robert, meanwhile, has been signing contracts of his own, agreeing to
a four-picture deal with Marvel.
