The New York Times recently
ran a story comparing the portrayals of teenage life in
Gossip Girl,
The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and the British show
Skins. As I read through the reporter's description of each show, I wondered which teens, if any, see themselves represented in these three seriously different shows. Though they're fun to watch, none of these three shows quite captures my own teen years.

Dustin Diamond seems like he'll do anything for a little money, from last year's
sex tape scandal to his newest project, a
tell-all book detailing what it was really like behind the scenes on the set of
Saved by the Bell. It will be called Behind the Bell and it promises to disclose the "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and hardcore partying." Could be interesting, but we're not sure we really care about the scandalous things the kids from Bayside High got up to.

It's been a good year for
Saved by the Bell alumni. Mark-Paul Gosselaar's new show,
Raising the Bar, begins airing on TNT in September. Mario Lopez has been everywhere from Broadway to MTV.

Many peeps don't know that
Saved by the Bell originally debuted as a show called Good Morning, Miss Bliss. The show followed the day-to-day adventures and mishaps of a tirelessly dedicated and inspirational young teacher, Miss Bliss. In GMMB,the conniving Zack Morris and the rest of the gang played only supporting roles to their teacher.

Back in the 90s, when people wore cheap-looking shite, these buddy bands were a badass buy. Slater, Kelly, and Jessie came up with the concept for a class project and their assignment was to market and sell as many BBs as possible. The following was a totally bad rad commercial they "just threw together" for class.

I try to resist posting anything
Soulja Boy up in here, cuz we're more than a little cranked up about the song at this point — downright cranky is more like it. But I refuse to pass up any opportunity to take a trip down memory lane and post the
Saved by the Bell gang. It seems Zack, Kelly, Screech, and the crew have been Soulja ready since the '80s.
