RocknRolla is extremely similar in tone and format to director Guy Ritchie's other films, and I must say I'm starting to think that his movies are only as good as the actors in them. Snatch is a good ensemble piece overall, but the most memorable parts are due to standout performances by actors like Brad Pitt and Alan Ford. Though not as good a film as Snatch, RocknRolla similarly benefits from some fine performers, in this case Tom Wilkinson, Mark Strong, and Toby Kebbell, among other members of the extensive cast in this convoluted story.

Thandie Newton was joined by costars Idris Elba and Gerard Butler last night for the LA premiere of RocknRolla. They've been all over to promote the film, from Canada to the UK, and it's finally opening to limited release in the US on Friday. Director Guy Ritchie missed this one, but the cast seems to have gotten pretty close after all that traveling — Thandie and Gerard even shared a few kisses on the red carpet.

After walking the red carpet in London, the RocknRolla crew flew over to Canada for their Toronto Film Festival premiere last night. The movie got a good review from PopSugar UK, and the cast looked like they were having a blast messing around with each other. After chatting with Jeremy at the Entourage premiere, we know he loves to joke around, talking about his Broadway debut and what is coming up for Ari in the new season.

It's that time people: Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla is finally rocking and rolling its way to a cinema near you.
As I said in my review of the film yesterday, it's a great movie packed full of energetic, charming and funny performances.
I brought you all the pictures and gossip from the film's premiere on Tuesday, and as a little treat to get you in the mood for the movie's release today, here's video footage from the red carpet.
Guy Ritchie has rolled out his tried and tested (and hugely enjoyable) gangster crime caper formula for his latest offering, RocknRolla.
Like Lock Stock and Snatch before, RocknRolla brings the lives of London's criminals together in a funny, well-acted and entertaining action flick.
It's not just the capital's head mobster (Tom Wilkinson) and right hand man (Mark Strong) who take notice when a Russian billionaire (Karel Roden) arrives in town looking to make a big money land deal; a corrupt councillor (Jimi Mistry), plotting accountant (Thandie Newton), and underworld gang The Wild Bunch (Gerard Butler, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy) all want in on the big bucks too. 
The Rock (n Rolla) gals were out in full force for the premiere of Guy Richie's new film, last night. Madonna went for an all-out blonde bombshell look with wavy hair and super-long lashes, actress Thandie Newton looked smouldering, sporting glossy hair, a rose lip colour and shimmery eye shadow — and Coco Sumner opted for a laid-back, youthful look with glowing skin, minimal makeup and messy hair. It's a tough choice, but whose beauty look do you prefer? 
It was Madonna's turn to play supportive spouse at the premiere of Guy Ritchie's new movie RocknRolla in London last night. On a night off from her Sticky and Sweet tour, Madonna didn't join her husband on the red carpet until Guy had already spent an hour talking to the press and greeting fans. When asked about how they make it work he said, "You've just got to love your wife.

Madonna made a surprise appearance last night at the London premiere of Guy Ritchie's new film RocknRolla. Despite being in the midst of her world tour, Madonna appeared on the red carpet in a black bejewelled Stella McCartney dress. Back in May Madonna hit the red carpet with Guy in a different Stella McCartney dress.
