The boys of Milk, James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin, stepped out to premiere their movie in LA last night. They first walked the red carpet in SF before the election, but Prop. 8 is still a hot topic.

The Milk premiere brought out Hollywood actors, political figures and the movie's real life inspirations in SF last night. Sean Penn walked the red carpet with Robin by his side but skipped chatting with reporters to greet fans. TR Knight and his boyfriend came to support the film along with the stars of the movie including Josh Brolin, Diego Luna, Alison Pill and happy to return to his home James Franco.

Dakota Fanning and Robin Wright Penn were in NYC last night for the premiere of their film Hounddog, which is finally being released after screenings at Sundance in 2007. Kirsten Dunst isn't a member of the cast, but she still managed to take a night off from her sports fandom to attend the premiere. The movie includes Dakota's controversial rape scene, but the heavy subject matter seemed pretty far from her mind as she posed and smiled her grown up evening away.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have listed their home in Marin County, California, about 18 miles north of San Francisco, for $15 milion. The Penns purchased the property in 1996 for $2.1 million, and spent two years rebuilding the original 1933 Spanish-style house. The manse doesn't appear to be listed publicly, but the WSJ said:
The 10,000-square-foot house was designed with hand-hewn wood-beamed ceilings and floors, stone fireplaces and hand-painted tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen.

Take one part Robin Wright Penn, add a smidgen of Ru Paul and you get the fierce, if a bit obnoxious, Dominique from America's Next Top Model. Thanks for the suggestion, FabSugar!

According to People, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are divorcing. The couple has been together since the early 90s, married for eleven years and have two kids, who are 14 and 16. Their rep confirmed the sad news, but declined to comment any further at this time.
"I. Am. BEOWULF!"
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt looked typically wax figure-esque out at last night's LA premiere of Beowulf. Angelina may have been shy about watching her computer generated body on the big screen, but she was full of smiles on the red carpet keeping herself covered in her coat while Brad opted for his requisite hat. Elsewhere on the red carpet Anthony Hopkins did his best Jack Nicholson impersonation while John Malkovich was generally cool in his yellow/green coat.
Just last week I told you that Edward Norton and Brad Pitt were reuniting for another film, this one based on the British miniseries State of Play. Well, the cast just got even bigger, with more good-looking, supremely talented people. In addition to Norton and Pitt, Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren and Robin Wright Penn will join the cast.
You may have heard about this project of Robert Zemeckis' (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump) to turn the epic poem Beowulf into an animated movie which, it was recently announced, will be screened in IMAX theaters. The movie's official website is up and running (though it basically just features dancing flames, dramatic music and a cast list), and now a Dutch website has posted photos of the posters for the movie, including the one above. The posters aren't groundbreaking, but they have piqued my curiosity in this project.
