This weekend the massive Reading and Leeds festivals took place with performances from Metallica, Dirty Pretty Things, Manic Street Preachers, Rage Against The Machine, The Last Shadow Puppets, Bloc Party and oh so many more.
A bored-looking Kate Moss watched from the sound desk as her man Jamie Hince got down on one knee in front of his bandmate Alison Mosshart during The Kills' set. Meanwhile Alexa Chung hung out with Alex Turner and his bandmate Miles Kane on the grass at Leeds – what do you think of her festival look?

Following his
previous no-show, Pete Doherty popped on a smart suit and finally made his court appearance in Yeovil yesterday, where he
pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage after smashing a photographer's camera in August 2007. The singer
broke the lens of Catherine Mead's camera when he invited her and a colleague to introduce themselves after they had been following him around Crewkerne, Somerset. Pete was
ordered to pay £918.27 compensation plus £100 costs.

Pete Doherty took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, playing the solo gig he had to reschedule because of
his stint in prison earlier this year. In typical Pete style, the concert didn't go entirely smoothly, ending in a
stage invasion which led to
police being called. Sigh.

With the rumour mill in overdrive about
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince's possible breakup, it was only a matter of time before Pete Doherty reared his head. Pete — who contributed
a picture drawn in his own blood for an art gallery auction (shudders) — apparently
thinks he's on the verge of winning Kate back by sending her love texts. These late night messages allegedly contributed to the end of Kate's relationship with Jamie, as did Kate's anger about a mystery
woman who's been hanging around the singer.
