let the kids choose this year, so it was time for the teens to have their say at the Teen Choice Awards 2008 last night in LA. The usual pretty and adored-by-kids suspects were there last night - The Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Miranda Cosgrove, Demi Lovato, Drake Bell, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and the show's host Miley Cyrus, as well as some big names to all ages like Will Smith, Scarlett Johansson, Josh Holloway, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson and Steve Carell.
Us Brits were represented by David Beckham, who brought Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz to watch him win a surfboard for Choice Male Athlete; Keira Knightley, who wasn't actually there but won Choice Drama Movie Actress; and Ed Westwick, whose Choice TV Villain surfboard proved that even when we're putting on US accents, Americans think that Brits are best at being villains!

Can't wait another six days to find out what happened to our Gossip Girl crew over the Summer. You can get some pretty big hints right now.
Below the jump, I have the first five minutes of the season premiere.
Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were spotted on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC yesterday, but it didn't look like an ordinary day of filming. Instead of the impeccably chic outfits we're used to seeing on our favorite upper east siders, the ladies were all decked out in costumes that would have been trendy in a very different time setting. Looks like catfights aren't the only surprises in store for season two — if only September 1st could get here faster.
The cast of Gossip Girl was back in the Hamptons on Saturday night, but this time it was all play and no work. They got dressed up for an End-of-Summer Bash thrown in their honor by vitaminwater. Blake rocked the Summer whites and Leighton kept it sweet in her innocent dress, while Taylor Momsen was the real attention-grabber in her ultra short mini.
Judging from the massive number of photos the CW has released in the past couple of days, I can say with certainty that the following things happened when Gossip Girl went to the Hamptons for its season two premiere:
Blake Lively smiled big on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday alongside her TV mom Kelly Rutherford. It probably doesn't take much acting for Blake to get excited about Serena's new Fall wardrobe. In fact, we're already gearing up for another season of fabulous clothes — including some extra special coverage of it here on Sugar.
We may have already checked out the beautiful ladies and casual men on the blue carpet but we're going to have to wait until later tonight to watch all the action that happened during the actual Teen Choice Awards Show. Miley Cyrus was the host who also performed along with Mariah Carey who once again dressed the part. The night was full of youngins' like the Jonas Brothers, High School Musical stars, and the cast of Gossip Girl but we were excited to see grown-ups like the Beckhams, Will Smith, and Adam Sandler.
The Gossip Girl kids got back to work in NYC yesterday steaming up the already hot Manhattan summer. Adorable puppy Penny stole the show between takes as usual while Blake looked a little concerned on her phone call. Lucky for her, she always has her man Penn close by at work.
The Gossip Girl kids have been busy working on their upcoming season and now the show's network wants to psych us up for their September return with steamy new ads that emphasize how naughty the series is. You all thought their OMFG spots were too sexy for a show about teenagers, but tell us — do you think these ads cross the line.
After last week's shocking revelation that Serena killed someone, I had a feeling last night's Gossip Girl was going to be a little heavy. My favourite thing about last night was Nate, Chuck, Blair, and Serena coming together to try and sort everything out. I was also pretty happy about getting a break from Jenny following her social rise and fall.
