Looks like he's still loving his downtime with his favorite comfy pants and his daughter on his arm, but Christian's acting is still earning kudos on his break from filming. He's nominated for five People's Choice Awards thanks to his work in The Dark Knight.

While he waits to get started on his next film, Killing Pablo, Christian must be happy to have extra time with his wife and daughter Emmeline. That also means being around for the holidays, which is when The Dark Knight comes out on DVD before hitting the big screen again in January to reignite Oscar buzz.

Christian Bale shopped for motorcycle gear at Alpinestars in LA yesterday, loading boxes onto his pickup truck and changing right into his new pants. The actor looks ready to hop on the Batpod in his gear, which is perfect for the news that The Dark Knight will be re-released in January. Looks like Christian and his costars are going to be on everyone's mind during Oscar season, but to hold us over until then, we can enjoy watching the actor with his fashionable real-life sidekick.

On Saturday he and Sibi had their own celebrity sighting when they ran into Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver at the Brentwood Country Mart in LA. Sunday, Christian played the perfect doting dad to Emmeline, who looked too precious in her Small Paul blue robe as they strolled down the street holding hands, and yesterday Christian and Sibi were spotted at a garden party together.

Christian Bale looked less Dark Knight and more doting dad when he picked up darling Emmeline from a pool party on Saturday afternoon in Santa Monica. The sweet shot of father and daughter hand in hand makes us think that she's the only Robin to his Batman. The 4-year-old sidekick looked extra cool in her blue Small Paul Robe and ice cream colored flip-flops.

Interestingly, neither a BFF movie nor a stoner action-comedy could dethrone The Dark Knight in its fourth weekend. Having already surpassed the $400 million mark in domestic ticket sales, the superhero movie pulled in another $26 million over the weekend.
According to Variety, the movie has now taken the place of Shrek 2 to "become the third highest domestic grosser of all time with a cume of $441.5 million.
