Cat Deeley swapped Los Angeles
coffee shops for the great outdoors, as she enjoyed a horse ride on some American trails recently. We got to see Cat back on our shores for the
Pride of Britain Awards but we'd better get used to her absence, as she's
revealed why she's not coming back to the UK in this week's OK!. With gorgeous weather and scenery like that, it's not surprising Cat's content in her new home.

Cat Deeley had her ear glued to her mobile phone as she wandered about LA at the weekend. She met up with some friends at a coffee shop where she sipped on a cappuccino and laughed her way through lunch, looking as pretty as ever in the California sunshine. Did you see
Cat's acting/presenting on Peter Kay's Britain's Got The Pop Factor...

The
2008 Pride Of Britain awards took place last night, with a whole host of celebrities showing up to hear the amazing and touching stories of the nominees and winners. We'll be able to share in the awe-inspiring tales of these Brits when the show airs on television tonight, at 8pm on ITV1. Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton giggled under their Union Jack-emblazoned umbrella as they arrived to present an award, and Cat Deeley and Rachel Stevens were among the other guests using the brollies on the red carpet.

One week before next weekend's
Primetime Emmy Awards lots of stars of the small screen came out in LA on Saturday for the presentation of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The show airs Saturday and was hosted by two of my favorites, Sarah Chalke and Neil Patrick Harris, who kept the laughs coming. As expected,
Mad Men and
John Adams both took home multiple statues —
check out all the winners here.

There seems to be a neverending barrage of dance shows on TV right now. There's the good (
Dancing With the Stars), the bad (
Step It Up and Dance), and the ugly (Your Mama Don't Dance). And even though you guys seemed
pretty evenly split about the dance show trend, the show that the majority of you were most excited about was
So You Think You Can Dance.

Last night Alexander McQueen added to his store repertoire by opened his flagship store in LA. The British designer already has stores in Las Vegas, New York, London and Milan so LA seemed like the next logical step.
The Gossip performed at the party with Beth Ditto performing in a typically
revealing jumpsuit, she then changed in to a piece from McQueen's spring line featuring
bright coloured feather detail. Fellow Brits Cat Deeley and Lady Victoria Hervey were also there partying in knee length dresses.

These British women are doing us proud in Hollywood right now, all looking stunning at the BAFTA British Comedy Awards in LA yesterday, as part of the
BritWeek 2008 celebrations. Cat Deeley continued her one-shouldered dress trend with a red number, looking gorgeous, although I think I prefer
her white one. Lucy Davis looked stunning in a long black dress, Joss Stone went with a green number, and nominee Ashley Jensen wore a striking shimmery blue number.

Cat Deeley looked absolutely stunning in a one-shouldered white dress at the launch of
BritWeek 2008 in Los Angeles, celebrating fifty years of British links with Los Angeles. Lots of visiting and LA-based Brits also showed up to the event, including Dame Judi Dench and her Cranford co-star and
BAFTA winner Eileen Atkins, lovely Lucy Davis, Eric Idle, Imelda Staunton, John Cleese and Michael York.

Cat totally has this LA look down, that definitely can't be a fake tan in that bright white dress!

Now here's a couple of people I didn't think I would see together, but it seems that being away from home does that to people – what with
Konnie Huq and David Walliams yesterday, and Sienna Miller and Cat Deeley today. The two gorgeous girls spent their evening at Villa club in Hollywood and left together, hiding from the photographers in their car. Both Brits have found international success so I'm sure they had a whole lot to talk about.
Arena covergirl Cat Deeley got a little taste of home in Venice, California yesterday when she attended the opening of "London Calling" exhibition at Beady Minces Gallery, owned by photographer Steve Shaw.
Actors Matthew Rhys (Brothers And Sisters) and Olivier Martinez (yum!) also attended, and were entertained by works featuring, among others, Michael Caine. The artists featured in the exhibition are not all British, but all reside in London.
