Kiefer Sutherland looked suitably Jack Bauer-esque in his aviators as he strolled through NYC yesterday, making me even more excited for the return of
24.
The two-hour telefilm bridging show, 24: Redemption (formerly 24: Exile) will serve as prequel to Day 7 and will air on 23rd November in the States, but Sky One is still teasing us here in the UK by not announcing our air date. They have advertised it as coming in November though, so not long now!
24 Prequel, "Redemption," Looks Intense, Scary The preview for the show's two-hour "event" in November might be just the bait. There's more of the same ol' 24 antics, but this time Jack Bauer is "battling an international crisis" in war-torn Africa. Meanwhile, our shady Tom Lennox (Peter MacNicol) chats with the new President of the United States who is, in 24's timely fashion, a woman.

Kiefer Sutherland is a prime example of a man who is getting better as he gets older, and if his dad Donald is anything to go by, he'll continue to look great. The shirtless
24 star was running along Malibu beach yesterday, looking for his dog and treating us to a glimpse of his tattoos. Makes me so jealous that my girl
Buzz got to see him in the flesh.
24 to Head to Africa After All for Prequel Even without the writers' strike, the seventh season of Fox's 24 might have been in trouble. The show had some fairly legendary production problems that caused the writers to scrap one entire plotline that would have sent Jack to Africa.
24: The Unaired 1994 Episode
In this spoof pilot episode of 24, Agent Bauer must disassemble a bomb before it ticks to everyone's demise. But there's one problem— the year is 1994 and pay phones, bike messengers, floppy disks, old-school printers with perforated paper, dial-up internet service, AOL chat rooms, VHS tapes, and polaroid cameras aren't all too conducive to high-speed progress. Will Bauer complete or bomb his mission?

Looks like
The Office is one of the first casualties of the Hollywood
writers' strike. Jenna Fischer wrote today that
the show has just two new episodes left before reruns kick in. Here's a video of the writers picketing (thanks to
Lindsb for posting it in
The Office group):
Here are some other developments from day three of the strike:

Fox held
a big event in Times Square this morning to unveil the trailer for the upcoming seventh season of
24. But if you couldn't be in New York to hobnob with Mary Lynn Rajskub at the party, no worries — I've got the trailer right here.
A couple of early thoughts on it: Given the show's now-legendary
production problems putting this season together, it's amazing they have this many scenes done already.

When is that again?
"24" will be starting right back up with a two-night season premiere starting on Sunday January 13 from 8:00-10:00 PM and continuing on Monday January 14 from 9:00-10:00 PM.
And what's this about Tony?
