8 Hints About What the Future of Playboy Looks Like
While the world largely associates Playboy magazine with pictures of naked women, all that's about to change. The publication recently announced that, as part of an overall redesign and an effort to give circulation a boost, nude photos will no longer be published — but that provocative poses are here to stay.
"That battle has been fought and won," the company's chief executive, Scott Flanders, told The New York Times. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it's just passé at this juncture."
He does have a point: even scrolling through Instagram, you're bound to see a ton of suggestive snaps (although you'll never see any nipples). Which brings us to the next issue of what the new — and improved? — Playboy will look like. Take a peek at some fully clothed photos from their Instagram feed for an educated guess as we wait until March, when the first redesigned issue will be released.
