Stana Katic Posts a Handwritten Letter to Castle Fans After the Show Gets Axed

We've had a good run, guys. After eight wonderful seasons, Castle has been canceled. The news comes a month after it was announced that star Stana Katic would be leaving the series after the current season. After the news broke of her departure, Nathan Fillion wished her the best in a sweet message on Twitter. ABC also axed Nashville and Agent Carter to make way for new shows this Fall. Following the cancellation, Katic also posted a handwritten note thanking fans for their support. Thankfully, viewers of the hit crime show need not worry about the fate of Castle and Beckett, as they reportedly filmed two different versions of the finale just in case. Fillion was already on track to return for the new season, but it seems he'll just have more time to film Guardians of the Galaxy 2! For now, check out what other shows have been canceled.
