Madonna Reveals That She Dated Tupac and It Made Her Feel "Very Gangsta"

After making candid comments about her marriage to Guy Ritchie and relationship with Kanye West, Madonna gave another glimpse into her life and career in her first-ever interview with Howard Stern on Wednesday. The singer, who has been busy promoting her new album, Rebel Heart, was her notoriously outspoken self when asked about such things as losing her mother when she was a child, her father remarrying, and her infamous expletive-filled interview with David Letterman in 1994.

She touched on her friendship with the late Michael Jackson, saying, "He was painfully shy. We didn't talk about our childhoods. . . . I think he felt eternally tortured. It was hard for him to look into people's eyes." She also divulged something that even her biggest fans may not have known: she dated Tupac Shakur. Of the relationship, Madonna said that the late rapper "got me all riled up on life in general," adding, "I was feeling very gangsta." The 90-minute chat is full of juicy tidbits, including the fact that she wrote her hit "Vogue" in less than two hours.
