Bono Is Really Sorry About the U2 Album You Didn't Want

Post by U2.

Bono has opened up about the controversial album download that's probably still sitting in your iTunes. During a Facebook Q&A on Tuesday, the U2 frontman responded to a fan who asked "Can you please never release an album on iTunes that automatically downloads to peoples playlists ever again? It's really rude." The fan was talking about U2's latest album, Songs of Innocence, which was automatically uploaded for free to iTunes libraries around the world on Sept. 9.

Bono (and the rest of the band members) managed to take the fan's criticism in stride, saying he was sorry and got carried away, even going so far as to mention megalomania. Bono also discussed the incident last month on U2's blog. If you have fallen victim to the download yourself, here's how to remove it.
