Loved it all! Well, except for Jenny because she's just getting really annoying. Aww poor Chuck, though. And thought that Dan and Serena were just too precious together at the end of the episode, with Lily looking on! And after hearing The Pierces on this episode, totally downloading the 2 songs!!

I cheered after the Lily speech too, haha. I'm still enamored with S and Lonely Boy.. and I don't like Momma Humph either. She abandoned her kids and cheated on her husband, is her little girl supposed to be anything but snappy towards her? For real.

I adore Serena & Dan!! & all I want for christmas is Rufus & Lily TOGETHER!!! Momma Humphry can so go back to wherever she came from!!!

im starting to like chuck he is a cool character, but nate and blair are the hottest couple...and dan and serena bore the daylights out of me!

My one complaint about this show is that the cast and the characters vary so much from episode to episode. It really feels like the writers are just making it up (or were just making it up) as they go along. Jenny has gone from being sweet, naieve little sister, to girl who makes a debut to rival Blair, to maybe a boyfriend stealer, to family peacemaker, to family brat. Vanessa and Serena's little bro whose name I can't even remember popping in and out of episodes really bothers me. Chuck started out as a disgusting rapist and now he makes me sigh and go "awww!". It's sort of bizarre.

That being said, the moment at the cotillion when Serena turned around and Dan was standing there giving her 'the look' totally made me nerd out. I was trying to hide my idiotic, swooning grin from my husband (who watched GG with me for the first time last night).

And I wish Chuck and Blair would get together. There is something just so right about those two!

i must confess that i love seeing dan and serena together, even though i could puke from the sweetness. and while i'm starting to develop interest in the parents' storyline, it would be incredibly awkward if their lily and rufus started something up again...not sure how that'd work out.

alison humphrey pisses the daylights out of me. she's such a useless character imo, and all her 'parenting' stems out of a jealous insecurity regarding lily. the inconsistency with vanessa and eric bothers me too, though i admit, i really don't miss seeing vanessa popping in and out of windows every other scene and ruining the mood. i hope that they bring eric back into the picture again so there can be some nice eric/jenny scenes.

i'm a fan of chuck and blair. i'm sure the crap will be hitting the fan in no time -- chuck's not one to let things lie. i'd be surprised if nate didn't find out in one episode.

I loved Lily in this episode. And the ending scene was SO hot with Blair/Nate. Those two have chemistry, just like she and Chuck do. I can't stand Allison. She should go back to Hudson ASAP.

I LOVE this episode. I mean, it made me go insane. First; CHUCK. NO. NOOOOO. I adore him and I'm just dying x.x I can't believe Blair did that to him! He just did it for her! And EW at that horny look Nate show him! He had the horny look in his eyes when he was manhandling blair too!

Ok. I felt majorly bad for Allison even if I don't like her. Jenny's gotten insanely catty. First of all those pumps were cute.

I adore Chuck, but I think it is the IRL interviews with his hot accent that carries over for me. I read from the "Roman Holiday" synopsis that he is in Monaco. Nate goes there next week to hang with him.

Blair pisses me off. Yeah, Nate cheated on her but he at least had a heart for his love triangle when he did it. Also I gotta give major props to Lily for going after Dan for Serena. I do like the Dan and Serena story, they keep demonstrating that Serena has not always had it so easy with her relationships so it is sweet. I am looking forward to Mr. Waldorf's luvva, Roman. I just think of Chandler dealing with his dad on Friends with this storyline.

agreed on allison, i find her to be a HUGE hypocrite. here she was making rufus choose between her and lily, when she, herself, chose to get her "space," leaves her entire family and sleeps with another man. meanwhile rufus was the one reassuring her children everything would be fine, taking care of them and not cheating on her. okay he kissed lily but that's nothing compared to what allison did. then to add all of that she tells jenny in the end to look at herself so she can see what kind of person she is becoming to. this coming from a cheater! OKAYYYYYYY!

anyhow serena and dan are sickeningly sweet. but what i would do to see the rufus/lily developed to a love story. i'm more interested on them than their kids' love story.

oh and was there a romance that happened between carter and serena? it sort of felt like that when serena and carter were talking with each other after the fight.

i actually felt really bad for chuck!! especially when gg said that he lost what everyone thought he didnt have-his heart. loved it!! dan and serena-so cute! this episode had really good music too. as is really good. i love blair too.

NOT A FAN AT ALL OF ALISON! mrs. humphrey needs to realize that lily and rufus humphrey belong together!!!

i shed a metaphorical tear for chuck when he got the wink from nate. so sad. he OBVS lovvvves blair and they do belong together. their sass and wit fits together so perfectly. i love them. :/

nate did oddly become a "man" in this ep. by "man" i mean a badass "she's my woman and i'll kill you for touching her" kind of man. haha... confusing, sure.

i hate how eric is in some eps but not all. i thought he'd for sure be a reoccurring character b/c of jenny and whatnot.

hm. loved this ep. watched it twice. hahah.

oh and thanks for reminding me "gr8gossip" ... the "he lost his heart" part was SOOOO SAD. :/ i love chuck.

Oh, I felt so bad for Chuck last night! I wish Blair hadn't done that to him. The entire last 15-20 minutes of last night was awesome.

best ep ever. i thought the last one was average but victor, victrola, seventeen candles and this episode were BRILLIANT!!!

Okay my general consensus is that everyone except Blair, Chuck, Rufus, and Lily are horrible boring characters. I love those 4 and pretty much despise everyone else. That said, at the end when Nate winked at Chuck like that I wanted to kill him! I did cry for my poor Chuck though =( ♥ at the end when Rufus was like 'I never should have let you let me go'. AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Oh and Chuck went to Monaco.

So i love the show....but I can't help but feel like I'm watching the OC...i guess with shows like this its hard to be so original. But yeah I really like Blair, Jenny, and Lily. Serena and Dan are starting to bore me. I'm not really liking Allison back. I was wondering to those that have read the books how close the show is to the original series.

the show is somewhat close to the series, in that chuck does go away but he returns gay...
serena and dan do have a little fling, but nothing like whats portrayed in the show
nate and blair are together, but he is constantly going between her and serena, and blair never hooks up with chuck in the novels
there is also alot more in the novels as to each of them doing their own things, like serena acting, and blair going to Europe with an heir or something...
and in the novels there isnt all the drama of the parents, theres no rufus and lily plotline, and there isnt nates dads drug problem
so i would say the show took the characters and their general characteristics and their families and perhaps some aspects of the novels, and then did what they wanted from there.

Brandee I would actually be so mad if Chuck came back gay, how disappointing. I want him and Blair to get together again.

I like Nate & Blair separate, but I admit there scene together last night was hot--it shows that there is a passion there.

I Love S and LonelyBoy, cute. Reminds me of being a teenager in love. Corny yes, but you know you secretly enjoy it.

I still want to see more of Serena's personality.

I also agree with Jenny not having a consistent personality, but you know, teens can be that way sometimes lol. She's only supposed to be what-14. 14 year olds can be brats.

Jenny may not be my favorite character,
but I would definitely be furious
if they were trying to stop me going in an event
that I was obviously dreaming to go
and otherwise I would not be able to attend with any other way than that.
On the other hand her mother gives the speech 'what choice you make, that person you become' and she is the one that left the family, lied to the kids about when she's coming back, cheated on her husband and then decided to become the responsible mother again!

during lily's speech i was all melting and then i was like "wait, whoa, serena did DRUGS too?"

While I'm a little bored with dan and serena, I like when a show has one happy couple, it can't be all drama for everyone all the time or that's annoying too. I like Blair and Nate, but Iwould have liked to see Blair get a "so this time's for real, no backing out?" promise before sleeping with him since he did think it was her first time it would suck if he turned around and dumped her again. And lastly, I think Jenny's supposed to be able to sew, because you know, poor people can sew. She can't afford clothes so she makes them, blah blah blah.

oh and one more thing.... jenny does sew, remember when she was sewing those dresses to look like the originals? not to mention designing those invites for blair.. i think they're making her out to be like the artsy one like her (yawn) mother!

I can't even begin to say how I keep loving this show more and more each episode!! I felt so bad for Chuck - even though I know I shouldn't!! Dan/Serena - I like their story - and I loved how Dan stood up for himself! Can't wait until next episode!!

Oh - and I forgot to mention how I loved Lily's speech to Dan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY for her!

Jenny is super-annoying. I hate Serena and Dan only because the plot that I followed most in the books was Vanessa and Dan's and I think they belong together but apparently Josh Schwartz is not a fan of the friendly romance (Anna and Seth never worked out either, remember?) And, I do feel bad for Chuck. But, I know I shouldn't.

When the shizz hits the fan, I hope Chuck gets splattered most. *devilish grin*

I totally agree that Allison Humphrey is blah. Plus, she's is WAY too young to be the mother of two full-grown teenagers. It messes me up a little bit. But I really love Chuck. I know it's wrong, but I just can't resist

i'm actually sad about chuck+blair. i really loved them together. serena and lonely boy have been bothering me since they got together. GG really turned up the cheese factor with them. i can't wait until something happens with lily and rufus.

the person cast for jenny was too young and it shows, she's not showing any maturity or and only the bratty quality of her character is showing. i don't think it's the writer's fault, i think it's her lack of skills to play the role given to her.

overall, i loved the episode
sorta wished chuck got a happy ending
don't really like blair and nate as much but they deserve each other

i'm all about the serena and dan though! i love that couple and i hope they pull through in the long run
