I always get excited when I see Bret Ellis' name dropped for something. I liked the American Psycho adaptation. The book was a bit better, of course. Not sure how they are going to adapt his short story collection into a movie, but when I think about it, the book's stories all kind of connect in their own way and I think it would play out better on the big screen than it did on the page.

And either of the Olsen twins would be perfect in an Ellis story - skinny, on drugs (or look like they might be), rich, interesting love lives. Yeah, I'm excited for this.

I will support anything with a Foster brother in it.

I am a HUGE fan of his books,(and have read them all) but I never really like any of the movie adaptations. American Psycho was ok,(only b/c of Christian Bale) but Ellis' books are soooo dark. It's hard to portray his charachters with any sort of depth in a 2hr format. But I love the way Ellis exposes how detached from reality the young and wealthy are...I'm interested to see how Ashley Olsen plays that part on screen.
