Like Transformers, I'm pretty sure Hairspray is all set when it comes to the heavy promotion, and some of the clips from the movie I've seen online recently are not particularly noteworthy.
This one, however, made me laugh and gave me the creeps all at the same time. There's just something about photographs coming alive and singing that leaves me not quite knowing what to say. You couldn't do that with a stage musical.
There's no Travolta-in-drag-and-prosthetics, but it's a clip worth watching regardless, so read more

I am now convinced that there is no one in Hollywood with an original thought. From the www.hairspraymovie.com this looks like it will probably do really well based on the ensemble cast (OMG John Travolta IN DRAG!!!)alone, but seriously. It looks like it's going to be very much like the musical, which was based on the original 1988 movie by John Waters and all kinds of shiny and happy and dare I say Disney-fied. Although John Waters is attached to the project. What do I know?
