The more I see and read about "The Starter Wife," which has its special two-hour premiere tonight on USA, the more excited I get. The miniseries, based on the novel of the same name by Gigi Levangie Grazer, looks to be the perfect television equivalent of smart chick lit. If only I could pull my TV into the bathroom so I could watch while taking a bubble bath!
Debra Messing looks radiant in her return to TV, and the Chicago Tribune's Maureen Ryan — whom I find is almost never wrong about such matters — says the series goes down as smoothly as an ice cream sundae.
