I didn't watch the show, but I did pull up Pink's performance on youtube. I heard that she broke a rib in rehersal, but you would never have known! Girlfriend is TOUGH!

Kanye West hands down. His performance was amazing. I still have that song stuck in my head. I wanna hear and see it again.

Pink and Christina looked great and sounded great. Rhianna, YAWN.. she sounded bad and was barely able to move in her bloated set.

^ I was thinking the same about the lead singer from Paramore. It was pretty disgusting watching her tap herself with her legs spread... just a brief moment near the beginning of her performance, but so gross.

Pink's kicked ass. Christina's was awesome too but i wish she hadn't lipsynched.

everything was pretty bland. i almost had a heart attack i couldnt believe christina aguilara lipsynched! that was supposed to be the best part of the night. everyone did well, but nothing special. although russel brand sucked. i muted any long speaking parts he had.

Kanye and Pink were both awesome. The Jonas Bros. weren't bad either.

MTV's parent company, Viacom has MTV listed as "for viewers 12 to 34." Knowing this they still put Russell Brand as the host. Even the first six minutes of his intro are inappropriate for a significant portion of that age range. I am all for free speech, but I am also for my freedom to react to that free speech. If you, like I was, are offended by this and the fact that MTV aired this here are some actions you can take.

Christina stole the night...whether u like it or not....

The world have seen her how great she is and how she blow up any arena with her voice...even though she lipped last night she showed a different side of her...she's an entertainer, vocalist, businesswoman, loving mother and a legend!

She tackled different styles of music and that's what seperated her from her peers and that's why i will always support her legendness.

i didn't enjoy much about the show but i did like to see xtina perform - she did a GREAT job with genie and that's all that i needed. it's a tradition for artists at the VMAs to mix up their hits and that's what she did - bringing it back to what the show used to be.

While I loved Rhianna, especially in "Disturbia," I loved Christina more. She brought it. W00t!

LOL!!!!!!!!!! The Jonas Brothers were the WORSE for me!! If only they could have sung something else.
ANYWAYS I love Rihanna's performance with T.I singing Live you Life (she looked so sexyyy, bad ass! I really enjoyed their performance together and the song)..her legs were apart...well, how else would you love her to stand??!! it's not like she was sitting down with them wide open.... PLEASEEE! all know if it was someone's else fav singer they would say NOTHING! It means nothing...don't even want to get what you meant or thinking. It showed her long legs and how hott she looked in those pants! WOW!
LOVED Kanye's performance also!! he was fantastic and loved those people beating those drums!! and ofcourse my girl PINK!!!! She is a great performer and singer (hott outfit she had on too), Luvvvv her! I really like Lil wayne's performance with the other singers although I found it rather ..... disgusting about his pants (looked like a %$#@@#!! idiot),not a fan of his but if I like music...I like music no matter who sings it. Christina's performance was great also! who cares if she lipsynched??!! gosh ppl with issues, as long as you know that singer can sing...who gives a @#%@!!
Either ppl are slow learners or just love to critize and hate on others, this is their VOCAL CORDS they are using!!! you know how many times these ppl have to use them, the different countries/states they go and sing the same song over and over again?!! sometimes one day after the next?! the strain that is on them and how much it must hurt??!!!! just because they are singers doesn't make them anyless human and suffer just like anyone else, their voice is their job! lose it for good...welll.....so if having they music play while they sing means to help them save their voice, I am there for them! be more understanding and not so uncaring and ignorant! and that's to anyone who just cant get that through their hard heads! and this regards all the singers out there no matter others' opinions on them.

I thought Pink was the best followed by Kid Rock but overall the show was horrible and one of the worst VMA's I've ever seen

MTV sucks and has for a long time. I watched the beginning, just to see Britney's "comeback", which was a joke and a complete waste of time. Russell Brand sucked as a host, don't know why they chose him and as soon as he got on his political soapbox, I turned it off.

I voted TI and Ri, but loved Pink as well. Actually, this was the best VMAs in a long, long time. LOVED IT!

Paramore rocked it!!!!

Man I thought Rihanna rocked. She is truly a performer, not so much a singer, but she kept me hooked through both performance, especially the one with TI. Lil Wayne rocked it as well, even though it was obvious he needed a belt, but I can look past that. Every time Lil Wayhe gets his hand on a mic, he kills it, no question about it. I missed Christina's performance. I kept flipping it to "Toddlers and Tiaras" on TLC which was strangely fascinating.
My roomie doesn't really know Jonas Bros songs and when she heard them she's said "These are the boys who make girls loose their minds?!? What a bunch of dorks!" Obviously Jonas Bros were not on the top of her list!
