OMG ! I just finished watching it. They are coming back next season right? I can't wait to talk about it tomorrow.

I just finished watching, and holy crap! There are gonna be some HUUUUUUUUUUGE changes for next season.

What the hell is with the flash forward???? I liked the ending until then. That was totally a Lost rip and laaaame. Now we get to see how things change between now and then to end up this way. Won't say any more because I don't want to ruin it for anyone but come on!

I hated the ending. Everything was going wonderfully until then. CjaneTyp, are they really doing it like that? I thought they might be showing us the ending then using the next few seasons to lead up to it.

Agh, it just makes me really mad. I don't like cliff hangers when you have to wait as long as they make you wait for Desperate Housewives!! I wonder if Mike is dead? I don't see how he could leave-- he has a son!

Adam is Kathryn's husband... the guy that got all beat up by Kathryn's ex- Wayne Davis.

I think that they will start next season as normal, but I also heard on the radio that Edie was leaving show for sure. That may be why she wasn't shown much tonight.

The guy Susan was kissing was not Adam, he was Gale Harold. He played Brian in Queer as Folk. For someone who just started watching (sorry if I offend), I loved the season finale and will definitely be watching next season if he has been added to the show. :p

That was a really good episode...up until the end. I'm sick of TV shows doing the flash-forward things. First it was Lost, then One Tree Hill, now Desperate Housewives. I know this sounds superficial but most of the women are already in their mid-40s and they want to age them even more? Plus I'm pretty upset that Mike seems out of the picture (possibly dead? , although he has been kinda bugging me the past two seasons. I'm glad the Katherine mystery is resolved, but just to be clear (SPOILER ALERT) did her biological daughter die because she was reaching for the doll and the wardrobe fell over? because it seems like they would have heard it and been able to lift it off her.

i think thats why the daughter died.. but seriously is James Denton leaving the show?? i am going to be so sad!! i cant believe he wont be with susan in five years! they had gone through so much to be together and just had a baby! has anyone heard anything about him leaving the show? and whats up with gabrielle and her kids i wish they were cute! she is such a doll and they made her look terrible! ugh i am so mad at the ending but i am glad they showed us what really happened with katherine

It's ok You aren't going to offend by having a different opinion!! I think the reason so many people don't like the ending is b/c most of us have watched the show since the beginning. To me Susan and Mike was the romance equivalence on DH of Ross & Rachel or Mer & Der. Not quite as 'big' but they went back and forth and then he had the coma and amnesia and wound up with Edie.

beckhamr, I think they made everyone look horrible!! But yes, Gabby more so! The whole Lynette kids as delinquents was slightly humorous.

Californiagirl, Yes that's how she died. From what I've read the noise was supposed to have happened when Katherine hit Wayne and there was a lot of commotion downstairs and therefore they didn't hear the noise upstairs.

Maybe Katherine & the aunt didn't hear the cabinet fall because they were drinking. Remember the aunt said something about opening a bottle of something that she has been saving for years. There also was an empty glass next to Katherine when the Aunt started screaming.
I also heard somewhere that Nicollete Sheridan was not staying much longer w/ the show. I actually heard on a radio station that the show was only going to be around 3 more seasons. Someone had interveiwed Marc Cherry teh creator of the show.

I guess I'm in the minority for actually liking the ended, not because it left us hanging, but because it jumped ahead.

Things can get more interesting without all the little babies still being infants, now they will actually be more of a character.
Also, I was happy when Mike and Susan FINALLY got together and were married, but now they just don't seem so great. The new guy was a big shock, but maybe he'll be a better fit.

If Gabby really is the mother of the 2 girls, I like that they relaxed her look as if she was too busy to get herself made up.

Yes, I agree with tinan. Katherine was drinking AND when Wayne Davis came, the discussion was heated, so I would assume they wouldn't hear. I guess I didn't like the ending because it just left us hanging!! And who knows when season 5 will come?? Anyway, I can't WAIT for season five, and I would assume Mary Alice would do some narrative thing, explaining everything that's happened, and then they would keep going from the 5 years later.
