Saturday Night Live Drinks Your Milkshake

Ever since There Will Be Blood hit theaters last year, "I Drink Your Milkshake" references have been all the rage. But I have to give Saturday Night Live credit for the parody they served up on Saturday night that envisions the now-classic line as the basis for a Food Network show that finds Daniel Plainview criss-crossing the country in search of the perfect milkshake. (Might I suggest he try this recipe from Yum?)

Bill Hader does an eerily spot-on impression of the now-Oscar-winning Daniel Day-Lewis, and Fred Armisen makes an appearance as No Country for Old Men's Anton Chigurh, complete with deadly air tank and Javier Bardem pageboy. But you've got to watch to the very end for my favorite part: guest host Tina Fey poking fun at Juno's hipster dialogue. "My kudos to whoever shook this shake, magnum." To check it out, just read more.

And it's still funny, even on the third or fourth viewing. I wasn't really impressed by Bill Hader with some of his earlier stuff, but this was great.

"NOOOOO, NOOOOOO! I'VE ABANDON MY CHILD, I'VE ABABNDON MY BOY, I'VE ABANDON MY CHLD I'VE...OH THERE YOU ARE." that line to me never gets old.

is it nerdy to admit when they showed daniel's scene for that line before he won the oscar i said the lines along?

That was wonderful! Great job on SNL's first night back. Although Fred's wig makes him look like Gene Simmons, lol.

I died when I saw this sketch. It was hilarious. Another great part was the Tina Fey "b*tches get stuff done."

Loved it. Hader's Plainview was right on from the accent to the limp and the weird thing he does with his mouth.

Before I saw There Will Be Blood, my boyfriend kept telling me he was gonna drink my milkshake. Was anyone else laughing hysterically during that part of the movie? But the best part was...

Plainview: [as he is being slapped] Where is he? Where is he? Oh, there he is!
Eli Sunday: Do you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior?
    Plainview: Yes, I do!

That is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time.

I didn't think it was funny until it got to the part where he was yelling for "his lost boy" and then he calmed down.
